Known as the "Hidden Gem" of the Swiss Alps, Grimentz is one of five unspoiled old villages in the Val d’Anniviers. It oozes old rustic harm with sun darkened wooden buildings and narrow car free streets in the town center.
The slopes are delightfully uncrowded, and have excellent snow record. The resort is widely known for its extensive off-piste.
The skiing in Grimentz is mainly between 1340m to 3000m with most of it being aboe 2100mt. The area has varied skiing from open pistes to forest runs and steep blacks to easy blues. There is a great snow park at 2500m in Grimentz and additionally one in Zinal. In all there are 220km of pistes, with 44 lifts . In addition there are 35Km of cross country skiing trails, 120km of snowshoe trails, 110km of winter hiking trails, 15km of tobbogan runs, 4 snowparks and 11 mountain restaurants.
